Questions people ask about Chat.
- Where do the models run?
- In the EU, unless your organisation has allowed a model outside it. Every message records where it actually ran, so residency is something you can show rather than something you assert.
- Can you read our conversations?
- No. Your workspace owns the conversations, and we do not train on them. They stay yours and they stay in the EU.
- Can a manager read someone's chats?
- The audit view reports what happened, not what people wrote. Message content sits behind a separate permission that you grant on purpose.
- Do we need the platform to use Chat?
- Yes. Chat runs on the same platform as the API, so it sits on a platform subscription and seats are added on top.
